Proteopathies

are complex.

Clinical similarity can mask meaningful biological differences. Neurodegenerative diseases are heterogeneous and can comprise different molecular subtypes, with potentially important consequences for disease progression and treatment response.

Seed amplification assays are opening new possibilities for detecting pathological protein aggregates in patient samples. However, conventional assays typically provide a binary readout indicating only whether a specific aggregation signal is present or absent. This does not precisely measure the extent of protein aggregation or identify which molecular subtype is involved.

Without mechanistically relevant biomarkers, therapeutic development remains challenging, patient stratification is limited, and potentially promising therapies may not reach the patients most likely to benefit.

The SeRAS®
Advantage

SeRAS® (Seed Replication, Analysis and Subtyping) is seragy’s next-generation evolution of seed amplification assays. The platform combines seed-based biochemistry with advanced optics, and automated analysis.

At its core is the MetisOne® Analyzer, which enables sensitive and reproducible measurement of protein aggregation in patient samples.

A quantitative molecular fingerprint.

Each fingerprint captures which pathological proteins are present in a patient sample – and how much of each one. We turn these quantitative molecular fingerprints into actionable insights for drug development.

Quantitative

Quantify aggregation biology precisely and reproducibly.

Subtype resolving

Uncover molecular disease subtypes not captured by conventional analysis.

Highly sensitive

Detect protein seeds reproducibly at sub-attomolar concentrations.

Translational

Turn aggregation biology into actionable biomarker insights for drug development.
